10 days of madness

Sorry for not updating my blog over the last 10 days or so, here’s a brief look at what I’ve been up too:

2 x 12 hour drives - Driving in Thailand certainly has some serious plus and minus points… maybe I’ll write a post to elaborate.

30 hours in London - Wanting to keep my promise with my Mum that I would go to her 50th b-day party, I flew to London for one night so I could make it. Running around trying to fit in as many family/friends visits as possible during the day, I arrived at the party just on time. This wasn’t to be the end of a long day (and previous night due to my flight) as about 12ish I was picked up by some friends to head to a club. My friends Dad has just bought on of the biggest clubs in London, so it was hard to turn down a free VIP pass and champagne! With only 4 hours sleep, I was picked up for more friends and family visits in the morning before returning to a smoking room free Heathrow airport (that sucks!). I just about managed to spend some quality time with my Mum, which included cooking her Sticky rice from the equipment I took back with me. I also got to see my new (cute) baby brother for the first time - Sam (congrats Dad and Kath!)

Girlfriend has surgery - My girlfriend was booked in for surgery that was meant to be a day thing, which ended up being 3 days due to loosing more blood than expected, along with a few other complications. I was committed to stay with her. Even though I put her in the best hospital Bangkok has to offer, it still felt like a hospital (if you know what I mean?) - They give me the creeps. Luckily I had a net connection and a big comfy bed to sleep in so it could have been worse. She was allowed to come home tonight and she is feeling a lot better - I’m not good with sympathy, but she is trying her hardest to train me!

Setting up an office - Since my return from London, I’ve been busy setting up my new office and hiring staff.
Budweiser suing me - On top of everything else, I have Budweiser (a big beer brand in the west) trying to fill out a law suite against me for copyright infringement - More on this later!

So, you could say it’s been a busy 10 days!
