2007 Year Blog Review

A few blogs I regularry read have created a blog post containing a review in blog posts over the last year, so I thought I’d do the same!

January

I wrote 10 things you don’t know about rural Thailand, although it’s more aimed about the village I lived in.

I listed 10 pet hates about Thailand

February

I went to the Philippines and got mugged in Manila. I then went down to Palawan and had the best seafood dinner of my life.

I listed my thoughts on the best stuff in Asia – I’ll be doing this on a yearly basis to see the difference as the more I experience Asia, the more I’ll obviously chnage my opinions!

March

I went to a huge concert in the middle of a field in Issarn, rural Thailand and made a video – A great night out I’m sure I’ll never forget.

I went to Laos and experienced my first taste of corruption with the police.

I make a list of 21 things I want to accomplish over the next few years, sadly I only managed to do one so far: Loose 10kg

I launch View From Office – A blog where people can submit a picture of their office view – I haven’t had time to up-date it in months, although I’ve got hundreds of images to up-load including some big companies such as Google, Yahoo and Sony. I’m going to get someone in my team to up-load the images next week.

April

I list 6 excellent reasons why you should visit north east Thailand.

I interview Lillian from My Thailand Diary about life in Chiang Mai

I celebrate Songkran in north east Thailand

My sister arrives in Thailand to join the songkran Fun, and we head to Laos and learn about Foreigner-Lao relationships and I start to seriously consider moving to Laos.

I change my blog theme/template and decide to include internet marketing topics on the blog.

I attend a trade show in Amsterdam with a great team member: Khun A. At the airport I’m privledged to have meet his parents, who kindly treat me to Mango and sticky rice.

May

I write an article on entering Lao via The Friendship Bridge.

I have my first (and hopefully last) motorcycle accident.

I hold my first poll on the blog: Rice or Potato – It’s roughly 50/50 with 17 votes, 9 of them going to Potato.

I write an article on a 3 day mini trip to experience Issarn life based on where I was living.

I review Lee Café, a great Chinese/Thai fusion restaurant – I still visit this place on a weekly basis.

I close my Bangkok office and move out of my apartment. I then had to decide where to go, but ended up renting a 120,000B/month apartment to hold some serious parties.

I write an article on Phu Kradung National Park, a great place out of the way from tourists.

I write an article about doing a visa run to Singapore from Thailand

June

I list 8 hot tips for Blogging while traveling

I list 10 teen tales

I list 8 mistakes I made with my first blog.

I MC’d at a night club for the first time

I list 9 Google products I couldn’t live without

I write an article on how to start an on-line business with $16

I created a list on Bangkok’s 5 star hotel buffets offerings

July

I write an article on Sister Joans T-Shirt project which the post receives a comment from a published Author Debbie Sign

I get my first ever Dog

I write about how I got into SEO

August

I list 50 SEO tips

I write a detailed article on on-page SEO

September

I list 10 sales and marketing techniques you can learn from bar girls

I ask if you give money to beggars and give my thoughts on the matter

I make a list of free user names you can get to cover your brand name on-line

I make a list of Car rental companies in Bangkok

My blog turns 1 year old and I list some stats.

I list 12 Thai dishes under a dollar – Street style!

October

I list average costs of living in Bangkok

I return to London for 30 hours.

November

I made my first video Blog post

I made a list of 20 ideas to buy gifts for new or experienced travelers.
