DietDuring the first year of living in Thailand, I lost loads of weight, then it went back on, then come off again. I’ve just got back from weighing myself and my heart sunk when I read that I’ve put on 8kg in 6 months or so! I’m the only one to blame… fatty foods, lack of exercise and to many beers when I go out… stress from work doesn’t help either.

I’ve just returned home and opened up an Excel Spread-sheet and drawn out a 6 week plan – I’m heading home for xmas, which is 6 weeks away, so the plan is to get back down to the best I’ve ever weighed which was 70kg – I felt great during this time and am determined to get back to that weight.

I have my targets set, a diary of exercises to do and I’ll be writing down everything I eat. My friend Denis over at Cigar Inspector recommends the one hundred push ups program – so I’m going to have a stab at that too.

I need to loose 1.7kg every week to hit my goal… from78kg down to 70kg in 6 weeks… It’s not going to be easy!

Bring on the bananas! :)

I didn’t manage to finish the 100 push-ups program… the third (or forth) week is much more difficult than the previous one and I couldn’t get through.

This program is not intended to lose weight. To lose weight (this is exactly what I did – from 79 to 68 kg), you should do the following:
- run for at least 20 minutes at least twice a week
- avoid beer, junk food, bread, butter, etc.
- corn flakes/milk in the morning, regular meals for lunch, a couple of fruits for dinner (that’s right, no real dinner – will be hard)

Best of luck :)

Agrrr the couple pieces of fruit for my evening dinner would kill me! I’d much prefer running for an hour every day so that I could at least eat something :)

No beer is going to be very difficult but I’m going to give it a shot, junk food etc. shouldn’t be to much of a problem… i think this boils down to planning more than anything else. There’s lot’s of delicious food that isn’t fattening, you just got to make sure it’s in the house at the right times!
