Are you getting ready for xmas?
Every time I speak to family and friends in the UK latley, they’ve all been asking me the same thing: “Are you coming home for christams?”
I’m still trying to decide whether to fly back for the day (again) to have dinner with the family or just stay here in Bangkok, where I’ll be able to continue working. My new business is at a stage where it relies on me to tick over, it’s looking more likely I’ll be in Bangkok.
Today I did some food shopping at Central Chitlom, the place is all christmasy with the huge tins of cakes/choclates, decreations and big turkeys in the freezer. I ended up buying a mince pie, which I’m eating while I write this… excellent, better than the ones I’ve eaten in the UK.
If I stay in Bangkok, I’ll have some tough food decisions to make… Cook christams dinner myself? Go to a resturant? Get all the food re-cooked and ready before hand? Or just don’t bother?
Personally, I’m not one for turkey… It’s always dry and lacks falvour in my opinion… Home made beef wellington with a nice bottle of red, followed by home made mango crumble sounds like a perfect christams lunch to me.
So, are you getting ready for christams? I hope you havn’t got a million decisions on what to eat and where to go as me!
