Since I launched FeedZa a few months ago, I’ve been a little disappointed with the excitement I receive from those that I talk about the FeedZa project with. Many people understand what I’m trying to do, but just lack the excitement.
Today I was watching a video of Mark Zurgerburg on stage talking about FaceBook. A huge smile come across my face when I heard him say:
The reason why we are betting on feeds is a good structure for content is just because, as people share more information, the information you want to suffice is the most recent and relevant stuff.
He get’s it. That’s exactly what I’m trying to do with FeedZa (for the blogging community) and why I’m really excited about working on the FeedZa project.
This year I took a completely different approach with my business: instead of working comfortably with clients, I took the risk to start something up on my own. Alas, I have worked through 8 or so projects this year and haven’t made any of them a success. Over the last month or so I’ve been thinking to myself that the reason I haven’t made any of them a success was due to working on so many projects.
After watching the video, it dawned on me that I should put 2008 down as a year for research – I’ve been fortunate to work on many projects and end the year with 2 projects I believe in, I’m passionate to work on and most importantly, I’m excited about.
2009 is a year for change… I’m going to try working smarter, not harder. I can’t wait… I’m excited :)

Hi,
I checked feedzilla. There are already plenty of feed directories. The niche is damned crowded And feedzilla does not really bring extra value compared to others for now… Should have a look to zimbio’s site who really adds value.
You’ll have to work much harder to make it a success!
and, should try to add thmbnails along feed summaries… Pictures are worth a thousand words and and it will make pages more attractive (only text is not really fun…)
Anyway, good luck ;-)
We only launched FeedZa a couple of months ago so were still working on additional features than can make the product from good to great.
Adding thumbnails to the feeds is a great idea – I’ve added it to the list of features to be made and we will be going ahead with that idea :)
Thanks for your feedback – it’s much appreciated!
