Breast Cancer Awareness Month - My Blog turns PINK!

In support of breast cancer awareness month, I decided to turn my blog pink :) It looks a bit silly, but it’s worth every bit of sillyness.

My Nan was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago, as was my cousin, so this campaign really does have a special place in my heart.

You can read more about breast cancer awareness month (October) and breast cancer in general over on the Breast Cancer Care site.

If you have a blog and want to turn it pink this month but don’t know how, give me a shout and I’ll sort it out for you. The more people who support this cause the better! I’ll even revert it back to your original color at the end of the month :)

Nan, I’ve been thinking about you a lot today. I miss and love you with all my heart!

Great post! I definitely think raising awareness is the key whether to get people to do mammograms or self breast exams. Going pink is a great way to do it.

My office actually made a cool video to try and reach a slightly younger audience about the importance of self examination. We took the approach of that you can have fun with it and make it partner event. http://www.howcast.com/videos/8195-How-To-Do-a-Breast-Exam-on-Your-Girlfriend (slghtly NSFW because it shows you how to give an exam)

Thanks for posting on such an important topic.
