I was in Watsons (health supermarket) this afternoon and noticed these little bottles of beauty juice in the fridge:

I asked a member of staff: If I drink this, will it make me more beautiful? She said yes. I bought 4 cases.

I wonder if I could sell them on Ebay? I paid 50B ($0.40) for a bottle, it would be interesting to see how much a gullible ugly girl would part for a box

Does this Advert offend you? Not for me, however it was on the front page of Digg.com labeled as racist, and then Intel issue an formal apology. What’s the world coming too?

I think it took someone guts to run this ad in the Newspaper today here in Bangkok. Personally, I wouldn’t run it as it’s not “safe” enough, it’s not exactly giving out profreshional image is it? But then again, It’s likley to turn viral as many people will talk about it getting the resturant more exposure.

I’m sitting on a floor mat eating sticky rice and laap in a Thai hut located in Essarn. With me are 5 kids, 5 ladies and 3 men: all Thai. Only myself can understand English. Everyone is glued to the TV, a new Thai soap everyone loves. The commercials come and booom: It’s David Beckham in an Adidas commercial explaining how anything is possible….In English! Everyone laughed and I asked if they understood what he just said. No surprise they didn’t.

Some media campaigns do make me laugh, even the big brands seem to get it wrong! If you are advertising on a Thai TV network, why not use subtitles or even better, dub the sound? Without doing so you have 99% of your viewers scratching their heads trying to figure out what the commercial was about.
