The following images were taken on a night out exploring the small back streets of Gion in Kyoto – The main area in Japan where Geisha, female Japanese entertainers, are based. Unfortunately I didn’t get to see any Geisha, but it was really interesting to walk around the little old style alley ways while wondering what was going on behind closed doors.
