Fondooz Restaurant Review, Central World, Bangkok
Following my recent post about the various different businesses I wish I could open, which included a Fondue restaurant, I was eager to try out the new Fondue restaurant that has recently opened up on the 6th Floor of Central World, called Fondooz.
I eat there for lunch today and we were the only customers during the time we were in there. This meant prompt service!
The restaurant it’s self is very different to other fondue restaurants I’ve eaten in, in that it’s very modern, light and airy which makes a nice change, especially for a luncheon. There is also an outside seating area with a great view of Bangkok’s skyline that I think would be nice in the early evenings.
The menu offer’s 3 different styles of Fondue’s: Cheese, Meat and Fish (to be cooked in an oil or soup base) and chocolate. I opted for the Chicken soup base and selected the meats: Chicken, Ostrich, Shrimp, AUS rib eye, Squid and Lamb. The fondue came with 7 sauces which included Curry, BBQ, Sour Chilly, Soy, Garlic Mayo, chilly and thousand. Also on the menu are pasta dishes, steaks and salads.

The service was great, the waitress helped us fish out food that had fallen off the folks into the hot soup and explained everything on the menu to my missus, even though it’s in Thai and English. The food is great, the steak had great marbling of fat and was very tasty, the sauces were excellent and could tell they were made fresh.
What I love about fondue the most is deciding what sauce should go with each piece of meat you have just cooked!
The huge let down came when we ordered deserts, I ordered a Crème Brule, which had sugar on top that was soggy and the actual custard was hot and curdled. Apart from that, I had a great dinning experience here.
The bill came in at 1,300B for milkshakes, the fondue, deserts for 2 and tips.
I will definitely eat here again, but avoid eating desert unless someone wants to share a chocolate fondue with me!
