Getting ready for Songkran

Sorry for the delay in up-dating the blog, I’m pleased to say it hasn’t been through working hard, more for just chilling out! I have clocked up some serious work hours over the last 6 months or so and I have worn myself out. So, with getting bored of sitting in front of a PC, and along with really hot heat, I’ve been knocking off at 7pm on weekdays and only checking emails and reading blogs for a few hours during the weekend.

So, what have I been up too?

To put it bluntly, having a life! I’ve been going out with the lads a lot more: If my mum only knew how much drink I’ve been consuming she would flip! I’ve also been hitting the Cinema with my girlfriend a lot - I think we’ve seen 8 movies in 2 weeks! Checking out new places to get food, swimming and reading (I bought myself 4 new books last week and have read 2 of them already!) Overall I’m really enjoying myself

I’m writing this from work as I’m waiting for something to download - and it’s hot - seriously hot! If I was half nacked by the pool, it wouldn’t be a problem

Getting ready for Songkran

Everywhere I go I hear people talking about Songkran: The Thai new year, which involves a nation wide water fight! I also hear it on TV, the radio, friends, taxi drivers - everyones getting excited. It reminds of the build up to Christmas in the UK.

I’ll be heading off to North East Thailand for Songkran to celebrate with my girlfriends family. I secretly want to return to Nong Beau Namplu - but hey, sometimes we have to do things for others! I’ll be flying up on Sunday (with the dog haha) and then hire a pick-up for a few days before returning to bangers. I’m looking forward to eating lot’s of grilled chicken, getting wet, drinking lot’s of beer and sleeping in ’til noon.
