I haven’t wrote a restaurant review in a while and lately I’ve eaten at some amazing restaurants in Bangkok, however I always seem to forget to take the camera or forget to take shots of the food when it arrives at our table!

Anyway, I was determined to review Gustoso Italian Restaurant, located on the 7th floor of Central World, as it offer’s what most restaurants don’t get right: Great fresh food, great ambiance, great service and prices that don’t brake the bank!

The Gustoso Italian Restaurant ticks all these boxes, so it may come to no surprise that I’ve eaten here on several occasions. Firstly, it’s located in Central World, the best shopping complex in Thailand in my opinion. And with the restaurant located on the 7th floor, you are right next door to 2 cinemas (yes – Central World has 2 practically next door to each other!) so it’s a perfect place to come and have some light Italian food before catching a movie.

Gustoso has really comfortable seating at the entrance, standard tables and chairs in the restaurant (see image above), and there’s also 4 or 5 tables out on the patio area at the back… sort of like alfresco dinning with the Bangkok skyline as a back drop! Amazing. We chose to sit at the back on the terrace.

Anyway, let’s get into the food…

My missus started of with Lobster soup

While I went for the Scallops (Which was a main but I was hungry!)

Missus had steak with Foie Gras

I opted for the strip-loin with red wine sauce

We were to stuffed to order deserts, but I have tried their Creme Brulee in the past which was disappointing.

Overall a good restaurant that I recommend if you are at Central World. The bill come in at 3,000 excluding wine, although they do have a nice Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon at 900b

Hey looks tastey! There is an awesome Italian place I found last time I was in BKK, I’ll try to dig out the address.

Incidentally I might hit you up with some work questions, I’m a Python web dev looking to start up in BKK.
