hollywoodThis isn’t the first time I’ve wrote about how I would change the movie business (see: Revolutionary idea that could change how Cinema’s work, forever!) but I think I might be onto something here…

Let me start by telling you about a guy that changed how table top dance clubs in Europe operate. Peter Stringfellow is owner of several table-top clubs in London, Dublin and Paris. Traditionally, table top night clubs in London pay the girls a salary, and if the ladies make extra, then let be.

Instead of offering the ladies a salary, he decided to go another route. He created one of most luxurious table top dance clubs in town that was guaranteed to draw the big spenders in on a nightly basis. Instead of offering the ladies a salary, he requested that the ladies to pay him for working in his clubs. The ladies would easily make up the difference, and many times earn more than what they could else where.

As I was relaxing by the pool last week I came up with an idea that used a similar principle for a new movie.

Inspiring actresses and actors pay a production company to star in a film. With the media buzz, this would cut out a majority of the marketing budget needed to launch a new movie. The actors and actresses will know that if they are any good, they would launch their acting career.

You could have different rates for extras, main characters, and even down to the directors and camera men – everyone pays to launch their careers.

In order to kick this off, someone would need to guarantee X to guarantee that the movie would launch even if the company organizing everything couldn’t get enough people to part with their money.

What do you think? A crazy idea that could work if the right person was in the driving seat?

Man… if I only I had more money to put into crazy ideas like this, would be so much fun!

Haha! That’d be interesting. I have friends that are actors (or trying to be) they’re usually broke lol. BUT! A project to work sort of thing would be cool. If you’re ever out here let me know! We’ll have our people do lunch : P

the organizer would perhaps set up a credit system to give the actors that don’t have the money a chance haha
