After a great week catching up with work in luxurious surroundings, it’s now time to get back to checking emails in coffee shops and sleeping on uncomfortable bug-infested beds in cheap guest houses!
My next port of call is the ancient town of Hoi An, one of four World Heritage sites in Vietnam. I decided to hire a taxi for the 3-4 hour drive from Hue, rather than take the bus or train as I wanted the ability to stop wherever I wanted after learning how beautiful the scenery is along this route. It was a great decision and well worth the extra $$ – Luckily our driver was a super cool guy who didn’t mind stopping for food, drinks and photo snaps!
