Insomnia, bad memory and pressure – not a good mix

Last week I diagnosed myself with Insomnia as over the last 2 weeks I have been experiencing real trouble getting to sleep every night. I try and get myself into bed at around 1am, but it will take me from 3 to 5 hours to get to sleep. What’s Insomnia? Here’s an excerpt from Wiki:

Insomnia is a sleeping disorder characterized by persistent difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep despite the opportunity.

Last night was no different, I think I ended up getting to sleep at 4am and woke up at 8.35 in which I had 25 minutes to get to work for 9am. Rushing around like a mad man, I left my apartment at 8.55. As I walk outside of my apartment I notice it’s very quite, there’s hardly any cars on the road… that’s when the penny dropped that today is another national holiday. Damn!

As for Insomnia, I think this may be due to the extra pressure from work - Now I’m truly on my own, finances are tight, I’m badly in need of a break away and work levels are at there highest. I often think about quitting and living of my residual income (which would give me a very comfortable lifestyle) however I’m investing 85% of it into new businesses. A good idea? Only time will tell.
