Magazine To-Do List : 2 Days remaining
As I write this, my countdown timer reads 2 days and 2 hours before my magazine launch. It’s Monday morning and I’ve just come into the office, I’ve just reminded my staff about our strict dead-line and I get a feeling there not used to the pressure, along with not really like the extra pressure I have gave them.
I thought I’d share with you our current to-do list before the magazine can launch:
- Get our in-house plugin to work
- Edit and approve 5 articles
- Complete a further 3 articles
- Add data for 670 profiles
- Complete a 200+ page “guide” we are working on
- Modify the design even further
- Add banners, favicon
- Import and activate around 10 wordpress plugins
I’m sure there’s more we’ll come across over the next 2 days.
Will we make it?
Everyones not sure… one thing is we’ll give it our best shot.
I’m assuming some of your staff are Thai? If that’s the case then don’t ever let them think you’re not serious about deadlines. Deadlines are something that a lot of Thai people cannot understand. I say that from almost two years here and trying to maintain my ‘Western’ editorial principles. My staff are great now but at the start I did have a few problems getting them to understand that deadlines are set for a reason.
