I thought I’d start to work on some SEO for this Blog as I’m putting more time and resources into it. Hopefully carrying out some SEO techniques should pull in some targeted traffic from the search engines. I haven’t done any SEO on my blog yet, so I’ll explain what I do in order for you to learn how to apply SEO techniques to your Blog or web site.

Before I do this, I need help with selecting a primary keyword to target. The primary keyword or key phrase will be used by people to find my site in the search engine results.

After an hour or so on Word Tracker, the leading keyword research tool, these are the best keywords I could come up with (That had over 150 searches per day):

• Adventure travel
• Travel website
• World travel
• Travel tips
• Travel writer
• Travel advice
• Travel ideas
• Asia travel
• Southeast asia
• Heart of asia
• South east asia
• Asia facts

I’m not very happy with the list as they are not very targeted to what my blog is about so I’m hoping some readers can help!

Here’s the deal. I would like people to suggest keyword phrases that relate to this Blog. 

I’ll carry out some keyword research on each of the keywords left within the comments to see if people are actually searching the suggested keywords. The person who suggests a keyword that a) relates to this blog and b) has over 150 searches per day I’ll give them a $50 Amazon voucher.

Remember: The keyword or key phrase must relate to this site. (Mum, these are the words people will search for in Google to find my blog J)

What would you type in Google to find a blog like mine? You know what my blog covers so hopefully it shouldn’t be to difficult (look at my list! Hahaha, easier said than done!)
