My Egg Noodles

If you are looking for a bar that offer’s a great selection of wine, is very intimate and romantic, and has a great cover band playing classic jazz and blues tunes, the newly opened Niu’s Jazz Blues Bar Restaurant on Silom is definitely worth checking out.

On the ground floor is the bar which has the stage to one side, and a lovely outside terrace area where you are still able to hear the live tunes from inside. Upstairs, you’ll find an Italian Restaurant offering Italian classic and some Thai/Italian fusion food.

I didn’t eat in the restaurant but the place looked buzzing and I’ve made a mental note to check it out when I next get the opportunity. My goal last night was to find a relaxed and mellow bar that I could take my girlfriend too were we could chat, listen to some cool sounds and share a nice bottle of wine: The Niu’s Jazz Blues Bar Restaurant on Silom did not disappoint.

The bar is rather small and dark, but this sets the tone nicely. Our wine was served in HUGE wine glasses which I kind of like, and there were hundreds of bottles to choose from, from all the major wine regions in the world ranging from 1,500b to 40,000 a bottle . On top of the extensive wine menu, there were also cocktails and spirits available.

I highly recommend the Niu’s Jazz Blues Bar Restaurant on Silom if you are looking for a romantic hideaway from the tourist crowds with the best service Bangkok has to offer.
