This is my first open question post – If you have a question about SEO, Web development, Thailand, Bangkok or anything else you think I may be able to answer, feel free to ask! I can’t promise I’ll be able to answer them, but I will promise I’ll try :)
The first question come from Keith, which is more of a personal question…

Can you see yourself living and working in Thailand in the distant future(20yrs)? If so, working at what? living where? If not, where would you like to be?

I have a real bad habit of changing my plans on a regular basis, with all parts of my life. So with that in mind, I don’t even know where I’ll be in 6 months time let alone in 20 years!

The great thing about working on-line is that I can work anywhere with an internet connection. Right now I’m stuck in the office, which is not really where I want to be, so I can get my team and management in a position where they don’t have to rely on me. This will give me more opportunities to do what I want to do: travel and set up other businesses.

Right now I can honestly say I don’t think there’s a better place for a good looking red blooded male in his twenties to be. I’m so happy with my lifestyle here that I could not leave… so the traveling would have to be split up between here and elsewhere.

In 2 years I will apply to become a Thai National, which takes around 3 years to process. This is something I’ve always wanted to do and something I’m determined to get. This will mean I’ll always have ties with Thailand, financially and personally.

In 20 years time Thailand will completely change… it just will not be the same as it is today. Thailand’s economy is growing at a rapid rate, and with that everything else will change… over time. Most of my friends here are Thai and you can clearly see the western culture in them. That’s one of the main reasons why I really encourage people to check out the north east Thailand now, as this is the only area that is still “real Thailand” – There’s no western influences there, but this WILL change.
