Pam’s Cornflake Treacle Pie Recipe

For as long as I can remember, I have been addicted to my mums cooking cornflake treacle pie. It’s dead easy to make (even though I’ve never made it myself, it wouldn’t be the same would it?) and anyone with a sweet tooth will surely love it as much as me!

You basically make some short cut pastry, let it cool and spread strawberry jam all over the top (Don’t be stingy with the jam!) In a saucepan, add a big knob of butter and let it melt. Then add the cornflakes and treacle… stirring until mixed over a low heat. Add the treacle coated cornflakes over the pastry and let cool.

Simple, but so delicious!

Luckily my mum still makes me this when ever I visit home. Here is the last one she made…
