Sangria

Last night I went to a Portuguese restaurant and noticed Sangria on the menu. I remember my mum drinking this when we went for our family holidays when I was a kid.

Anyway I ordered some and it was lovely, it also had a cinnamon stick in it (Is it just me or is the smell of cinnamon the best aroma in the world?), which I’ve never seen before.

As I have a half bottle of red sitting on the side, I decided to create my own. You know what, it’s even better!

Where is what I added:

  • Half bottle of red wine
  • 2 cans of Sprite
  • 1 and 1/2 cans of fresh orange juice
  • Half can of mango juice
  • Half can of apple juice
  • Half can of pineapple juice
  • 1 big apple, chopped into little bite sized pieces
  • 2 oranges, chopped into little bite sized pieces.

Mix all and put in the fridge until sun set time!

Cheers!

I love that you add mango, apple, pineapple juice and sprite. It sounds very delicious and refreshing! I need to give this a try.

The only thing I noticed is that you only have half a bottle of red wine. I take it you don’t like booze the way I like booze. I do a full bottle of wine plus about a 1/4 cup of triple sec or what ever orange liquor that I have handy. Gosh, I make myself sound like an alcoholic :D
