Saving cool designs will save time and money

If you plan on making money on-line, there will come a time when you will need a designer to work with. I have worked with many designers over the years and I can honestly say that only 2 (out of 100 or so) could come up with really great, innovative ideas. These type of designers do not last long, as they are normally swept up by big corporations. The rest of the designers I have worked with could drive graphic design software such as Photoshop but just lacked ideas for the actual design. It took me a year to find a solution: I always give designers a design to work with. I have a folder in my web favorites called “Good Looking Sites” and another that says “Good looking logos” When ever I see a site design I like, I save it. When I need a new site designing/building, I’ll look through my saved links and select a site that fits in with the site topic. I then send the link over to my designer so he knows what I’m after. 

So basically, you use the design skills of great designers, but pay the average designer to put it all together for you. This saves a lot of time with mock-ups and can save you a lot of money - i.e working with quality designers cost a lot more than someone who can just drive Photoshop!
