I’m still in Mukdahan, and have committed to stay here for another week to celebrate the Songkran festival which starts on the 12th. I’ve been in Essarn twice before while the Songkran madness has gone on and both times, in Nong Beau Lampu and Udon Thani, were a great deal of fun – So I’m looking forward to it.
Life in Mukdahan for an extra week or so isn’t that bad – It’s very quit here with not much to do apart from burying my head in my lap-top and grafting away. Last week I committed to invest in 2 new projects that I’m really excited about and with working on my current sites, I’m busier than ever. Although this year was meant to be dedicated to traveling, I just can’t seem to stop – I’m so greatfull that I LOVE my work – It really is the center of my life right now. Awl, and being surrounded by beautiful rice paddies and nature like this isn’t such a bad thing:

For some reason my missus loves to take pictures of me while I’m working, and I really like this one shot in particular:

I’m not sure if it’s the fact I really need a hair cut (which is very rare for me), my 150b shirt I bought from Tesco or just the fact that it captures what my life is all about right now.
Not everything is rosy: This morning I had a motorbike accident, which I was to blame for. I’m now feeling sorry for myself as the road rash on my face, arm and leg is really pissing me off – It stings like mad and the skin around the wounds is getting tighter by the hour. I learnt to ride a motorbike (with gears) in Essarn, and have already fell off a bike once before!

Now I’m just hoping my wounds heal before the water madness starts next week!
