Taiwan Visa Problems for Thai National

I have been planning a trip to Taiwan for the last 4 months. I finally have saved up enough pennies to go so thought I’d sort out the Visa’s today. I am able to get a Visa upon arrival but my Thai friend has to arrange hers before hand. So, at 9am I was at the Taiwan embassy filling out forms, sorting out pictures and taking photocopies of everything. I paid the money (1,500B, around £22) and was told that she might not get a visa due to the fact that she does not work. Hmm I thought. How can she go to work if she is at school? Anyway, I had to do all the form filling, photo’s and photocopies again that says that I will be sponsoring her. We find out tomorrow afternoon if the visa was successful for not, let’s wait and see!

Update: She got her visa in the end :)
