I thought I would return the favor (in terms of link love) to 8 amazing bloggers and webmasters that have helped me learn so much with regards to blogging, internet marketing and SEO. Each Blog/Site is well worth a visit.
This is the site that gave me the inspiration to create my own personal blog. 13 Months is half blog half static site that explains how a recently married couple have a round the world honeymoon. The site offers some excellent images and information on the less traveled countries, including Gorilla Trekking in Uganda.
I have very few blogs that I make a conservative effort to read on a daily basis, SEOMoz is one of them. Rand and his team offer some excellent knowledgeable posts on SEO and search engine marketing in general. The site has also started offering some basic SEO tools, perfect for the SEO newbie.
John Chow gives me a great boost when I’m having a bad day. His blog covers monetizing Blogs to the max! Although lately there are more reviews than quality posts, it doesn’t take long to find the gems using the categories on the right hand side. John Chow’s Blog is a prime example of how one can turn there Blog into a money making machine.
In my early days I would spend around 6 hours per day discussing search, SEO and marketing with like minded people over at the DP forum. The forum has some very knowledgeable people who are always willing to help out. The forum is also a great place to trade domain names, internet related services and web sites.
Todd is an independent SEO who covers SEO and Internet Marketing on his Blog. I like his style of writing which is very easy to read for new beginners in the SEO world. I highly recommend reading Todd’s Best Posts – There is a lot of valuable information here that you need to learn to improve your search engine positions and targeted traffic. I also like his Friday round ups of what’s happening in the search world – This saves a lot of time reading thousands of other internet marketing blogs.
Shoemoney was covering affiliate marketing in his early days, something I have never really played with. Now his blog has slowed down with regards to tricks and tips, however his Blog is a great read with some interesting and unique posts.
Seth is no doubt at the top of the tree in terms of marketing. His clients include Google and many other high profile brands/companies. The posts are often short and straight to the point which is a nice change from the others.
One of the newest Blogs in my RSS feed, My Thailand Diary is more of a fun read than an educational one, which makes a nice change. Lillian, the writer is a full time Mum living in Chiang Mai, north east Thailand. She often writes about her experiences with Motherhood, Chiang Mai and Thailand in general. Lillian also participated in my first interview here on Absorbing the world blog.
