The make money on-line train – what seat is most comfortable for you?

Its no secrete that experienced people making money on-line do not do all the work involved themselves, after all, you can’t be good at everything and you only have so many hours per day to make things happen!
Identifying what you are good at or where your time is best spent earlier rather than later is a wise move, as you can simply outsource different projects to experts in their relative fields resulting in higher quality of work, saving precious time and putting your time and energy into areas where it’s viably more profitable to invest.
Let’s have a look at the different seats available on our make money on-line train:
- Business - Creating and executing a great idea
- Management - Managing the team so everything gets done with the least amount of problems
- Graphic Design - Someone who can make the site look visually great, while building trust with the users via the graphics
- Programming - Someone who can make the site do what it needs to do.
- Copy writing - This is what ultimately sells the product or service, a vital point of the production line.
- Marketing - From SEO, link building, CPP management, usability, analytics, on-line branding etc.
Each area of the on-line business model above takes extreme talent and every aspect of the above needs to pull together with the same organization skills as operating the bullet train the Japan in order to get the maximum potential out of a web business.
In my experience with working on-line, the people who make the most money are the ones that can offer the Business, management and marketing aspects. This is because you can easily and relatively cheaply outsource the others. Let’s look at why: Business: The project will never be yours without the idea. Management: There is only one person with the vision and that’s the individual or team who created the idea. And finally, Marketing will always be the biggest outsourcing cost, as it’s an on-going learning and tweaking process.
This doesn’t mean to say the other areas are not viable: people who offer design services are generally interested in design - this is what makes them click, creating stunning effective design gets them excited… they are simply better suited at designing powerful graphics than they are managing people.
If you sit in more than the business, management and marketing seats of the make money on-line train: you have a huge advantage over many people making money on-line today.
Outsourcing your weaknesses to experts in certain fields is great, but only great if you have the know how and capitol. Don’t be fooled into thinking you can’t start your own on-line business if you haven’t got the means to outsource… outsourcing is only viable when you get to the stage of having more and more great ideas, a good knowledge of every aspect of creating, managing and marketing a successful web site, oh, and you have the capitol to fund it.
I designed my first web site myself, I also wrote the copy myself and learnt HTML to code it myself. I also marketed the site myself for 2 years. This one particular site has generated me $100 month in, month out for 7 years! The knowledge and experience with managing every aspect of my first site is worth far more than the $5,000 I have generated from the site so far. With the resources available on-line today, it’s never a better time to learn the basics of every step of the making money on-line train. Dig in, learn, build experience and enjoy yourself.
My point is, make sure you test and understand every seat on the train before letting someone else take that seat.
