Throat Poem

I wrote this waiting to see a doctor earlier today, enjoy!

I’m feeling shit
Got a sore throat, like it’s been split
Open, filling up with spit
I just wished I could swallow it
I admit, I’ve still been smoking
My missus thinks I’m joking when she sees me choking
Then the blood comes, think dark red
Up from my throat, onto the bed
Yep, I’m now in bed waiting, waiting to feel alright
It’s been 4 days already, when can I ignite
Another cigarette, without feeling pain
I just want to be my normal self again.
