If you want baby rack ribs with meat so tender it falls of the bone in Bangkok, Tony Roma’s is a place defiantly worth checking out.
On a trip to Orlando, Florida a good few years ago, myself and my girlfriend had dinner at Tony Roma’s 3 times during our 2 week stay, the only restaurant we returned to for 2nd, let alone 3rd helpings! So the first time I saw Tony Roma’s in Sukhemvit, Bangkok, I quickly convinced my friend who I was with to check it out.
Inside the décor is typical American steak house style, a little like TGI Fridays. Seating is on the upper floor and is very dimly lit. The menu offer’s many American classics such as potato skins, salads, shrimp, ribs and steaks. However, Tony Roma’s is famous for it’s baby rack ribs, which in my opinion is the only thing they do that’s outstanding.
The servings are huge, I can’t remember the last time I looked at my plate and thought “How am I going to eat all this?” The answer was to box half and eat the rest at home.
Here is what we had…

Potato Skins with Bacon and Cheese. These were a little to greasy for my likeing.

Grilled shrimps, original baby back ribs with mash was very good.

Fried Shrimps with original baby rack ribs. The coating on the fried shrimps was horrible, but the ribs made up for it.
Conclusion:
If you enjoy eating baby rack ribs where the meat falls of the bone, this is the place to come in Bangkok – If you or someone in your group isn’t that fussy with ribs, you may be better of trying somewhere else.
For the potato skins, grilled shrimp with ribs and fried shrimp with ribs along with a bottle of water, taxes and service charge, the bill come in at 1,700B
