Top 10 In London

I don’t often publish the sites I work on but I thought I’d break the routine today, especially as the site is for sale.
One of the biggest problems people have who want to get on the make money on-line train is not knowing what topic the first site should be about. I always recommend starting your first site around something that interests you, this way it’s easy to keep an interest in it and more often that not, up-dating the site becomes a hobby, not work.
Once you have crossed this line, it’s time to seek out niches that are profitable, topics that pay the highest pay-out with affiliates and other money generators. Once you are familiar with setting up and promoting web sites, keep in mind the following advice:
It is highly profitable to be an average player in a highly profitable niche, rather than a top player in a low profit niche.
Even with this advice, it can still be a nightmare finding a niche that pays well, something you know enough about and a project you’ll be interested in taking on.
I have been in this situation many times before, so I come up with an idea to create what I call “base” sites. These base sites are exactly that, they offer the webmaster something to build up as the site already has been designed with some content on them. It’s now the webmasters job to add content to the site, further improve it and hopefully make the site into a leader in that niche.
Top10inlondon.com is my first try to do just that. The site is fully designed using Wordpress CMS so editing/adding new content is a piece of cake. For more info on what the sale includes, check out my on-line auction over at Site Point
