Travelling like mad

I haven’t been able to up date my blog over the last week as I’ve been traveling around. I went up to my friends house in North East Thailand to see her family. Spent a few days there chilling out in the hammock. I then flew to Bangers where I had an hour to go to my apartment and pack my bags, before returning to the airport in order to catch a plane to London. It was my mums b-day and as we hadn’t seen each other for 10 months so I decided I would surprise her. My sister picked me up from the airport, went home for a shower then went onto my mums place of work. I sneaked in and said “hello mum” You should have seen the look on her face, it took at least 5 seconds to register that I was standing there. She was well chuffed. We then all went to the local pub and had some food. It was weird seeing everyone again but was a little surprised that nothing had changed. Everyone was the same.

Over 4 days in London I visited the family, went out to my fav restaurant in Soho with the lads and got a chance to catch up with friends.

I then traveled back to the airport, where I got stung £160 for over weight baggage. Going through immigration I was asked to stand in front of a nylon screen so they could take an x-ray of my body, for security reasons. On the plane I sat between two ladies, one lady eat like a dog, the other was very rude – Just my luck!

Touched down at the new Bangkok airport, where I rushed to Domestic flights to take another plane to North East Thailand. I spent 2 nights chilling out eating lot’s of sticky rice and Laap, which I really missed. Then onto another plane to go home to Bangkok, where the smell of the polluted air made me feel right at home. Amazing how we miss the little things in life hey? Even the little things we complain about!

Now it’s the weekend, eating lot’s of delicious Thai food and am looking forward to getting back to work on Monday.
